Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Wings: Irresistible and Easy!

These air fryer buffalo wings are quick, easy, and incredibly flavorful. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, they’re perfect for a spicy snack or game day treat with a homemade blue cheese dip.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 pounds chicken wings (about 16 whole wings, yielding 32 flats and drumettes)
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 stick butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup Frank's hot sauce
  • 1/2 cup Ken's chunky blue cheese dressing
  • 3 tablespoons crumbled blue cheese or gorgonzola (optional)

Method
 

  1. If desired, rinse your chicken wings under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Transfer wings to a large mixing bowl and season with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, and black pepper.
  3. Marinate the wings for at least 30 minutes or overnight for best flavor.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Cook wings in batches for 22-25 minutes, turning halfway, until crispy or desired doneness.
  6. Keep cooked wings warm while remaining batches finish cooking.
  7. While wings cook, whisk together melted butter and Frank's hot sauce until well combined.
  8. Mix the blue cheese dressing with crumbled blue cheese if desired to enhance the dip.
  9. Transfer cooked wings to a large bowl and toss with the buffalo sauce, doing so carefully to avoid splattering.
  10. Serve wings hot with the blue cheese dressing on the side.

Notes

  • Oven Instructions: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and place wings on a foil-lined sheet pan.
  • Bake for 25-35 minutes, rotating halfway, until golden brown.
  • Toss with sauce and serve.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
