Press each chicken breast firmly into the breadcrumb mix to coat it well.
Arrange the breaded chicken in a single layer inside the air fryer basket and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, remembering to flip the pieces at the halfway point.
Take out the chicken, spoon marinara sauce over each piece, and sprinkle them evenly with mozzarella cheese.
Place the chicken back in the air fryer and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes until the cheese melts fully and bubbles.
Allow the chicken to rest a few minutes before serving to keep it juicy.
