Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs bone in skin on
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cracked pepper
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Parsley and lemon wedges for serving

Method

  1. Dry the chicken thighs thoroughly with a paper towel.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, honey, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, cracked pepper, and onion powder.
  3. Generously coat the chicken thighs with the mixture, either by brushing it on or tossing them in the bowl with the seasoning.
  4. Spray your air fryer basket with a non-stick spray and lay the chicken thighs in a single layer.
  5. Set the air fryer to 350°F and cook the chicken for 25 to 30 minutes, turning them over halfway through to ensure even crisping.
  6. Confirm that the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F before removing.
  7. Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and add fresh lemon wedges or a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.

Notes

  • Turn the chicken halfway through cooking to prevent the skin from burning, flipping again if it gets too dark near the end. The chicken can be cooked right after seasoning or marinated in the fridge for up to 12 hours to deepen the flavors.
