Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika regular or smoked
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp chipotle powder can substitute with chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

Method

  1. Set your air fryer to 400°F to preheat while drying the chicken wings thoroughly with paper towels and placing them in a large bowl.
  2. In a separate small bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, chipotle powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Pour olive oil over the wings and toss them until evenly coated.
  4. Add about half of the seasoning mix to the wings, gently massaging the spices into the skin, then sprinkle the remaining half and toss again ensuring all wings are well seasoned.
  5. Optionally, line the air fryer basket with parchment paper cut to size just before adding the wings.
  6. Arrange wings skin side down in a single layer inside the basket, spacing them out for even cooking.
  7. Cook the wings for 8 minutes, then flip and continue cooking another 8 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  8. If cooking multiple batches, keep cooked wings warm by placing them on a baking sheet in a 250°F oven while preparing the next batch.
  9. Serve the wings hot along with your favorite dipping sauces like ranch, bleu cheese, bbq, or buffalo, accompanied by some crunchy celery and carrot sticks.
