Ingredients
  

  • 2 medium to large yellow onions (or around 1 lb)
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil

Method
 

  1. Peel and cut onion into thin round slices.
  2. Drizzle oil over the slices and gently separate the rings.
  3. Place the onion rings in the air fryer basket.
  4. Fry initially at 300F for 10 min, gently mixing the rings every 5 min.
  5. Lower temperature to 240F and continue frying, gently mixing every 5 min for 15-18 min until desired color and texture is achieved.

Notes

  • You may use either red or yellow onions, but red onions will yield a darker color. Cooking times may vary based on onion quantity; adjust by checking every 5 minutes at 240F until crispy and caramelized.
