Ingredients
  

  • 8 chicken thighs bone in skin on
  • ½ cup of hoisin sauce
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • sliced green onions or chopped cilantro
  • sesame seeds

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, whisk together hoisin sauce, honey, grated ginger, toasted sesame oil, and minced garlic. Add the chicken thighs to the mixture and toss well to ensure each piece is thoroughly coated.
  2. If baking, line a sheet with foil then arrange the coated chicken thighs on it and bake in a preheated 375°F oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
  3. For the air fryer, arrange the chicken thighs inside the air fryer basket and cook at 380°F for 22 minutes until the internal temperature hits 180°F.
  4. To cook in a slow cooker, place the chicken thighs at the bottom, cover, and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours.
  5. Once cooked, garnish with sliced green onions or cilantro along with a sprinkle of sesame seeds before serving.

Notes
