Ingredients

  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • 1–2 teaspoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon paprika, garlic powder, or other favorite seasonings

Method

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes (optional), then cut them into even sticks.
  2. Soak the potato sticks in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  3. Drain and pat dry thoroughly with a clean towel.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  5. In a large bowl, toss the potato sticks with olive oil, salt, and any optional seasonings.
  6. Place the fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer without overcrowding.
  7. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  8. Remove fries when golden and crispy; serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, soak potatoes longer and dry well. Adjust seasoning to taste. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
