Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • Cooking spray

Method

  1. Combine honey, melted butter, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl and mix well, reserving half for drizzling later.
  2. Coat each chicken tender by dipping it into the honey garlic sauce, then evenly cover them in breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) to ensure a crispy crust and tender inside.
  4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket, place the chicken tenders in a single layer, and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping once halfway.
  5. Once cooked, drizzle the reserved honey garlic mixture over the chicken tenders and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier flavor, add some chili flakes to the honey garlic sauce or swap breadcrumbs for a gluten-free version to suit dietary needs. Store leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for around 4-5 minutes. You can freeze cooked tenders for up to 2 months and reheat them in the air fryer when needed.
