Ingredients

  • 600 g (1.3 lb) chicken thigh fillets boneless & Skinless
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method

  1. Combine the honey, garlic powder, soy sauce, and olive oil in a large bowl and mix well.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and toss to evenly coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight for deeper flavor.
  3. If your air fryer needs preheating, warm it up before cooking.
  4. Place the chicken thighs in the air fryer basket and cook at 200°C (400°F) for 13 to 15 minutes, turning once halfway through to ensure even cooking. Adjust the time slightly if preheated.
  5. Remove the thighs from the air fryer and brush them with any remaining juices collected in the basket.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced spring onions before serving immediately for maximum taste and texture.

Notes

  • To make this dish allergy-friendly, substitute regular soy sauce with gluten-free tamari or coconut aminos to avoid soy and gluten. Marinating overnight intensifies the flavor, and using a meat thermometer guarantees perfectly cooked chicken every time. Check cooking times based on thickness to prevent drying out. Drizzle remaining air fryer juices over the chicken before serving for extra moisture and taste.
