Cook Time 8 minutes
Total Time 13 minutes
Servings: 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets (5–8 oz. each)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or 1 teaspoon fresh garlic, minced
  • Optional Garnishes: Black sesame seeds or white sesame seeds
  • Optional Garnishes: Green onions, sliced

Method

  1. In a small bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, and garlic powder until combined.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a dish and coat them with half of the sauce mixture, then cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Turn on the air fryer and set the temperature to 400°F to preheat.
  4. Remove salmon from the marinade and arrange them in the air fryer basket; brush the remaining sauce over the tops.
  5. Cook the salmon in the air fryer for 7 to 8 minutes, adjusting time based on thickness until cooked through.
  6. Serve the salmon hot with the reserved sauce drizzled on top, and garnish with sesame seeds or sliced green onions if desired.

Notes

  • If your air fryer does not preheat, run it at 400°F for 5 minutes before adding the salmon. Enhance the flavor by adding red pepper flakes or a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime juice. For texture and a pop of color, sprinkle black sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top before serving.
