Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs bone in skin on
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cracked pepper
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Parsley and lemon wedges for serving

Method

  1. Dry the chicken thighs thoroughly using paper towels.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, honey, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, cracked pepper, and onion powder until well blended.
  3. Either brush the seasoning mixture generously over each chicken thigh or toss the chicken pieces in a large bowl with the seasoning to coat evenly.
  4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with non-stick spray and arrange chicken thighs in a single layer without overlapping.
  5. Set the air fryer to 350°F and cook the chicken for about 25 to 30 minutes, flipping them halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  6. Check that the internal temperature of the chicken has reached 165°F using a thermometer to confirm doneness.
  7. Finish by garnishing with freshly chopped parsley and serving with lemon wedges for an extra burst of flavor.

Notes

  • Be sure to turn the chicken halfway through frying to prevent the skin from burning. If it looks like it's getting too dark near the end, flip the thighs again to protect the skin. You can cook the chicken immediately after seasoning or let it marinate in the fridge for up to 12 hours to deepen the flavors.
