Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe avocados – Hass avocados work best for a creamy texture
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, diced (remove seeds for less moisture)
  • 1-2 jalapeños, finely chopped (adjust for spice level)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of 2 limes – Fresh lime juice prevents browning and enhances flavor
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon cumin (optional, but adds depth)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional for extra creaminess)
  • Optional Add-Ins:
  • ¼ cup pomegranate seeds – Adds a burst of sweetness
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder – For a smoky kick
  • 1 tablespoon crumbled cotija cheese – A slight salty bite
  • Diced mango or pineapple – A tropical twist

Method
 

  1. Choose and Prep Your Avocados: Cut the avocados in half and remove the pit. Scoop out the flesh into a medium-sized bowl.
  2. Mash the Avocados: Using a fork or a potato masher, mash the avocados to your desired consistency.
  3. Add Fresh Ingredients: Stir in the finely chopped red onion, tomatoes, jalapeños, and garlic. Sprinkle in fresh cilantro, and mix gently. Add sea salt and cumin, and stir again.
  4. Add the Lime Juice: Squeeze the juice of two limes over the mixture and stir.
  5. Adjust and Serve: Taste your guacamole and adjust the seasoning as needed. If you want it spicier, add more jalapeño. For extra richness, drizzle a bit of olive oil. Serve immediately or cover with plastic wrap pressed directly on the surface and refrigerate to prevent browning.
