  • 1 pound cabbage, cored and cut into strips
  • ΒΌ cup onions, sliced thinly (1 oz)
  • 2 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 2 tablespoon butter or oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Trim the cabbage by cutting it into quarters and removing the core, then slice into thin strips.
  2. Slice the onions thinly and cut the garlic cloves into slices.
  3. Warm a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter or heat the oil, swirling to cover the pan.
  4. Add the prepared cabbage, onions, and garlic to the pan, stirring occasionally, and cook until the cabbage softens, about 10 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to your liking before serving.
