Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • ½ medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 cups chopped cabbage
  • 15 ounces canned diced tomatoes
  • 8 ounces canned tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar
  • Minced parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Place the ground beef into a large skillet over medium heat and begin cooking it, breaking it apart as it browns.
  2. Once the meat is halfway done, stir in the chopped onion and minced garlic and continue cooking until the beef is fully browned.
  3. Add the chopped cabbage, canned diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, and salt to the pan; stir everything together until well combined.
  4. Cover the skillet and let it cook for 15 minutes, or until the cabbage reaches your desired tenderness.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat, sprinkle the shredded cheddar over the top, and let it sit for 5 minutes to melt the cheese.
  6. Finish by garnishing with minced parsley before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute the cheddar cheese with mozzarella or your favorite cheese if preferred.
