Ingredients

  • 12 oz Broccoli Florets
  • 1 Tablespoon Avocado or Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 pound Chicken Breast, cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 Tablespoon Chili Oil
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Ginger
  • 2 Tablespoons (30g) Chili Garlic Sauce plus 1 Tablespoon (21g) Honey, for glazing

Method

  1. Coat the broccoli florets with avocado or olive oil, then sprinkle with kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Set aside.
  2. Toss the bite-sized chicken pieces in chili oil, then season evenly with ground ginger and mix well.
  3. For air fryers with separate racks, arrange broccoli on one rack and chicken on another above it. Cook at 400ºF for 4 to 5 minutes until chicken reaches 150ºF to 160ºF.
  4. Brush the chicken with a blend of chili garlic sauce and honey, then continue air frying at 400ºF for an additional 2 minutes to caramelize and finish cooking the chicken to 165ºF.
  5. If using a single basket air fryer, air fry the broccoli alone for 5 to 6 minutes at 400ºF, remove and set aside, then cook the chicken separately until done.
  6. Optionally, rewarm or combine the broccoli with the chicken in the air fryer for about a minute before serving.
  7. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top and serve the dish alongside rice or cauliflower rice, adding extra chili garlic sauce and honey if preferred.

Notes

  • Cook times may vary depending on your air fryer model; always use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches 165ºF. For dual-rack air frying, an Instant Pot Vortex Pro was used; single basket cooking times are based on a 6.5-quart Ninja Foodi. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and serve with your choice of rice.
