Crispy Parmesan Crusted Baked Salmon Easy Weeknight Dinner

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs salmon fillet
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat.
  2. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Lay the salmon fillet gently on the lined baking sheet.
  4. Drizzle the salmon evenly with olive oil and then lemon juice.
  5. Combine the Parmesan cheese, dried parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  6. Sprinkle this cheese mixture over the surface of the salmon to cover it well.
  7. Bake the salmon in the oven for about 12 to 15 minutes until the fish is done and the parmesan topping turns a crispy golden color.
  8. Remove from the oven and serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Add a pinch of paprika to the Parmesan coating if you want a pop of color. Fresh parsley can be substituted for dried parsley for a brighter flavor. This dish goes wonderfully with roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
