Ingredients

  • 3 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • ½ cup (1 stick) salted butter
  • 6 peperoncini peppers

Method

  1. Place the chicken breasts at the base of your slow cooker.
  2. Evenly sprinkle the au jus gravy mix and ranch dressing mix over the chicken.
  3. Lay the stick of salted butter on top, then arrange the pepperoncini peppers around it.
  4. Cover and set the slow cooker to low, letting it cook for 6 to 8 hours without adding any extra liquid.
  5. Once cooked through, use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy a comforting meal.

Notes

  • Feel free to use chicken thighs as an alternative; if you do, consider halving the butter amount due to the extra fat in thighs. Check the FAQ for substitutions or further tips.
