  • 4 medium-sized russet potatoes, washed and scrubbed thoroughly
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • Chives (optional)
  • Cheese (optional)
  • Bacon bits (optional)

Method
 

  1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt. Scrub with a brush if necessary.
  2. Dry the potatoes with a clean towel.
  3. Poke several holes in each potato (6-8 times) using a fork to allow steam to escape.
  4. Mix olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper in a bowl and brush or spray this mixture generously over the potatoes.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  6. Place potatoes in the air fryer basket without touching each other.
  7. Cook for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through for even crispiness.
  8. Check doneness by inserting a knife or fork; cook more in 5-minute increments if needed.
  9. Remove potatoes and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
  10. Top with your favorite toppings like butter, sour cream, chives, cheese, and bacon bits.

Notes

  • For crispier skins, increase cooking time by a few minutes. Leftover baked potatoes can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated in the air fryer for best texture.
