Gourmet Cheesy Mushroom and Garlic Toasts

Delicious and easy-to-make gourmet cheesy mushroom and garlic toasts, perfect as a crispy appetizer or snack with a savory blend of sautéed mushrooms, garlic, thyme, and melted mozzarella cheese.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 loaf bread of choice (e.g., baguette or sourdough)

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add sliced mushrooms, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cook until mushrooms are tender.
  6. Arrange slices of bread on a baking sheet.
  7. Spoon the mushroom mixture onto each slice.
  8. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  9. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Best eaten fresh, but you can reheat them in the oven for a few minutes to restore crispiness.
