  • 2 pound ground beef
  • 1 large white onion diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ to ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cans green beans drained
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese

Method

  1. In a 12-inch cast iron skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef along with the diced onion, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until the beef is fully browned and no longer pink, about 7 to 9 minutes.
  2. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the cream cheese and heavy whipping cream until the cream cheese melts and the mixture is creamy and well combined.
  3. Spread the drained green beans evenly over the beef mixture.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar cheese on top of the green beans. Cover the skillet and continue cooking on medium heat for 13 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

  • For best results, use a 12-inch cast iron skillet and make sure the green beans are well drained to avoid excess moisture. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop.
