Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Combine bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper in a shallow bowl. In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. Pat chicken breasts dry and dredge each piece in flour, shaking off excess. Dip chicken into egg mixture, then coat thoroughly with breadcrumb mixture. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Place coated chicken breasts in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over each chicken breast. Transfer skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate chicken breasts in buttermilk for an hour before cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently to keep the crust crispy.
