Slow Cooker Sticky Honey Chicken: Easy and Delicious Recipe

This easy slow cooker sticky honey chicken recipe combines tender chicken breast with a sweet and savory honey-soy sauce, perfect for a delicious Asian-inspired dinner served with rice and vegetables.

Ingredients
  

  • 500g of chicken breast, diced
  • 3 tbsp of honey
  • 1/4 cup of light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp of brown sugar
  • 2 tsp of minced garlic
  • 1/2 small onion, thinly sliced
  • Flour for coating
  • Butter for browning

Method
 

  1. Coat the diced chicken breast in flour.
  2. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat and brown the chicken without cooking through.
  3. Add the thinly sliced onion and cook until slightly softened.
  4. In a bowl, mix honey, light soy sauce, brown sugar, and minced garlic until combined.
  5. Add the browned chicken and onions to the slow cooker.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and stir to coat.
  7. Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours until chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  8. Serve hot with rice and vegetables for a complete meal.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of chili flakes or garnish with chopped green onions before serving. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
