Ingredients
  

  • 7 whole chicken wings (cut into drumettes and flats)
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup light soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 3 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1.5 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp garlic
  • 3 tbsp potato starch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Method
 

  1. Coat every chicken wing piece with seasoned flour.
  2. Spray air fryer basket with cooking spray and place wings skin down without overcrowding.
  3. Spray wings with cooking spray.
  4. Air fry at 350°F for 10 minutes.
  5. Flip wings and air fry at 375°F for 10 minutes.
  6. Let wings cool 2-3 minutes before tossing in sauce.
  7. Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat.
  8. Add garlic and cook 1-2 minutes.
  9. Reduce heat to medium-low.
  10. Add soy sauce, sugar, honey, rice vinegar, and pepper; stir to combine.
  11. Simmer sauce 3-4 minutes until thickened.
  12. Toss wings in sauce and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
  13. For oven option: Preheat oven to 400°F.
  14. Mix potato starch, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  15. Pat dry wings and coat in dry mixture.
  16. Lay wings on baking rack and bake 1 hour, flipping halfway through.

Notes

  • You can also deep fry the chicken for extra crispiness by double frying. Cooking spray is key for air fryer crispiness. The sauce thickens more when cold; add water 1 tbsp at a time if too thick.
