Method
- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet until fully cooked and drain excess fat.
- Stir in taco seasoning and diced tomatoes with green chiles, simmer for 5 minutes then remove from heat.
- Mix shredded cheddar cheese and Ranch dressing in a bowl.
- Combine cheese mixture with cooked taco meat.
- Spoon the taco mixture into the frozen phyllo tart shells.
- Bake filled tarts for 8-10 minutes, adding 2-3 extra minutes if baking from frozen until heated through.
Notes
- If freezing, assemble and freeze before baking. Add a few extra minutes to the baking time when cooking from frozen. Use aged cheddar for a richer flavor and lean ground beef to reduce grease.
