Ingredients
  

  • 4 large sesame bagels
  • 7 oz cream cheese
  • 5 oz cooked bacon, cooled and diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tbsp chopped chives
  • 1 tsp hot sauce (optional or to taste)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice each bagel in half horizontally.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, chopped chives, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth.
  4. Fold the diced bacon and shredded cheddar cheese into the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Spread the bacon cream cheese mixture evenly onto each bagel half.
  6. Place the prepared bagels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy your zesty breakfast treat!

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, toast the bagels before adding the cream cheese mixture. You can substitute cooked bacon with turkey bacon or omit the hot sauce for a milder flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheat before serving.
